SIDC Exam Results, Retakes and Validity
Updated · 4 min read
Your SC Licensing Examination result is released three working days after the exam, as an e-Result Slip in your SIDC account (SCLE Terms and Conditions 2026, clause 9.1). It shows PASS or FAIL and your score.
The result slip
- You can print the e-Result Slip only once; save a copy to your device.
- It carries a QR code that lets your employer verify your name, ID, exam date, module and result.
- The result is final: SIDC does not review or recheck results (clause 9.2).
- For RM75 per module you can ask for a performance analysis: a percentage range for each syllabus section (clause 9.8).
If you fail
Register again and pay the same fee (RM1,250 per module for residents). The 2026 terms set no waiting period and no limit on attempts. Buy the performance analysis if you are unsure which sections let you down, then drill those topics before your next date.
How long a pass lasts
A PASS is valid for two years from the date of that module's exam (clause 9.7; Licensing Handbook para 4.05(6)). The Handbook allows exceptions, for example if you passed while employed by a licensed firm and are still in the industry. Check para 4.05(7) before you assume an old pass has lapsed.
Trap
SIDC Prep's Until-you-pass plan is extended free if you fail while your pass is active; see pricing.
Takeaway
SIDC Prep is an independent study service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Securities Industry Development Corporation (SIDC), the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) or Bursa Malaysia. 'SIDC' is used only to describe the examinations. Figures are SIDC's and the SC's and can change; confirm on sidc.com.my.
